Constructed of a gilded and silvered bronze alloy with enamels, the obverse consisting of a double overlaid eight pointed starburst pattern, with a central silvered bronze disc overlaid by an Iron Cross style Cross Patte, set within a circular laurel leaf wreath, wrapped with ribbon and joined together at the bottom by a date of 1941, with red enameled rings trimming both the interior and exterior of the wreath,
