It is ground to 43 degrees with a 5 Degree micro-bevel on one end and the other end is a gap-toothed scrub iron ground to 25 Degrees with a 5 Degree micro-bevel

the result is a 60 Degree bevel for planing difficult grain and a 42 Degree scrubber for fast removal of stock across the grain
