Original U.S. WWII Airborne Glider School Insignia Patch Barrels Purchased directly from a veteran'sOriginal Item: Only One Available. This patch was first worn by the United States Airborne Glider School then worn later by the 79th Troop Carrier Squadron of the IX Troop Carrier Command. The 79th was a unit that carried the glider troops into Normandy on D Day, June 6, 1944. Patch is 100% cotton embroidery and passes both the UV and burn tests. It measures 5 1 4" wide x 3 1 2" high. Offered in excellent condition.
